Nugent and Henry L. (Sandra) Freitag. Dearest stepmother of Roger (Georgia) Freitag, Rod (Rhonda) Freitag, Dawn McBride, and Dana Freitag. Devoted grandmother of Kirstie, Paige, Kelli, Wesley, Wyatt, Erika, Ragan, Morgan, Chris, Greg, Jeff, and Leslie. Carol was a longtime dental hygienist where she worked side by side with her husband Dr. Henry (Northwestern University Dental School Class of 1944) at their dental office. She was a graduate of Northwestern University Class of 1959. Carol also received a degree from Northwestern University School of Music, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Purdue University Class of 1988, and attended Valparaiso University Law School. Northwestern was always dear to Carol’s heart and she even earned a service award from Northwestern for her dedication. She was Past President of the Northwestern Dental Alumni Association as well as Past President and member of the G.V. Black Society. Past President and member of Illinois Hygienists Association. Carol was also a member of the John Evans Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Homewood Historical Society. She was a dear friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
